The Self-Reflection Journal

Updated: Mar 3, 2021

By Emily Hanlon

Self-reflection is something I am extremely passionate about, whether it be in your personal life or professional life. Engaging in frequent self-reflection can help you process your thoughts and feelings.

When we keep our thoughts bottled up in our heads, we can feel clouded and it can be difficult to concentrate or even move on with your day. This can be really confusing! Allowing yourself time to get your thoughts on paper can really help you understand why you're feeling a certain way and make those feelings a little easier to understand, manage, and navigate.

Self-reflection is also important, because it is the key to self-awareness. It allows us to look at our thoughts, feelings, emotions, and actions and understand how they are intertwined. Through the practice of self-reflection, we are able to look at ourselves with clarity.

Other benefits of self-reflection include:

  • Learning what makes you happy

  • Understanding the triggers to your emotions

  • Understanding the 'why' behind your actions

  • Re-discovering things that help you when you are overwhelmed

  • Re-discovering important self-care tasks

  • Revealing what you could improve on

  • Building stronger relationships

To help get you started, I have created this free self-reflection journal. It includes seven unique journal pages, complete with prompts, as well as printable posters for your home or office. I have included seven unique journal pages, as well as a blank template for you to re-print and re-use as many times as you wish!

I wanted to share this free resource with you to not only say THANK YOU for being so supportive of my business over the past two years, but to also remind you not to forget about the 'small' things. Each small thing we do for ourselves adds up!

I really hope you enjoy this resource. I would LOVE to see it in use so be sure to tag me if you do use it!
