What if you could support your clients with confidence and clarity, without spending hours second-guessing your sessions or scrambling to reinvent the wheel every week?

Uni gave you a degree, but not the real-world tools, support, or confidence you need to thrive as a clinician. That’s where this membership steps in.
Inside, you’ll get affordable, relevant, and genuinely helpful clinical resources, supervision, and PD, all in one place, so you can grow your skills, feel more grounded in your work, and stop wondering how you’re supposed to afford it all.
If you’re an early career psychologist OR a practitioner drowning in the cost of PD, supervision, and client prep, and you’ve ever thought, “Surely this could be easier?”
You’re in exactly the right place.

Through the Forum, you’ll move from "Am I doing this right?" to "I’ve got what I need... and I know what I’m doing."

It’s time to build a practice that supports you, not just your clients.
Professional growth with clarity, compassion, and community.
Welcome to The Clinicians’ Members Forum. 💛
If you're an early-career psychologist wondering why nobody told you it would feel this hard... Welcome.
Introducing: The Clinician's Members Forum

GET INSTANT ACCESS TO SUPERVISION, PD + RESOURCES
Let’s face the facts: Having access to ongoing support, relevant PD, and real-world clinical tools is the #1 way early-career psychologists build confidence, avoid burnout, and finally feel like they know what they’re doing.
In fact, this kind of wraparound support is THE answer to navigating those chaotic first years without constantly feeling underprepared, overwhelmed, or unsure. It bridges the gap between your degree and the real-life demands of client work, so you can actually grow into the clinician you want to be.

And if that wasn’t reason enough to pay attention…
-
Therapists who receive consistent supervision and access to targeted PD report significantly higher confidence and lower burnout.
-
Spending hours each week on session planning and resource creation is strongly associated with higher burnout rates in clinicians.
-
Clinicians who rely on scattered one-off PDs and supervision sessions often report feeling financially drained and professionally under-supported.

Buuuuuuuuuuut here's the thing no one tells you...

Right now you might be spending hours on a Sunday building the perfect session plan for the week, only for your client to walk in Monday needing something completely different, and just like that, all that work is gone...

annnnnnndd:
😥 You might be stuck in a Groundhog Day loop: session planning, PD, supervision, client work, reports...with no clue where the time for any of it is supposed to come from. And nobody ever actually taught you HOW to do these things. You were just meant to know.
😥 You might be buying resource after resource after resource, telling yourself the next one will finally be the answer, and then never having a spare minute to learn how to use any of them.
😥 And really wanting to feel confident enough to think on your feet in the room, but never getting there, because you're so busy playing catch-up that you never build the one skill that would actually save you.
And all this? Has probably got you feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and quietly wondering if you're behind everyone else. And not growing into the clinician you hoped you'd be by now. Or even worse? Starting to question whether you're cut out for this at all...just a few months in, when you should still be finding your feet.

But as someone who was once exactly in your shoes, I am so excited to say it doesn't have to be this way.

So, why am i the right person to be guiding you through your early-career years?

Hello! I'm Emily. I'm a clinical psychologist, resource creator, and the founder of The Playful Psychologist, and I've spent years working with children, adolescents, and families...so I know firsthand how rewarding {and how exhausting} this work can be.

But here's the real reason I get it: I remember sitting there a couple of months into my own career, already burnt out, staring at a session plan I'd spent hours on that my client didn't even need, wondering "is it actually meant to be this hard?" I was you.

Seeing how many talented clinicians were drowning in that exact cycle - over-preparing, over-spending, under-supported, and quietly wondering if they were cut out for this...I knew something needed to change. That's why I created The Clinicians' Forum: one place for the supervision, PD, and ready-to-use resources I desperately wish I'd had, all built to make you confident enough to trust yourself.

I truly believe that when clinicians are supported, clients thrive, and that you don't have to burn out or go broke to become the practitioner you're capable of being. I'd be honoured to support you through these years, and I can't wait to see the grounded, confident clinician you become inside the Forum. 💛
A couple of months into my career I was already burnt out and couldn't understand why. I'd pour hours into the perfect session plan, my client would walk in needing something else entirely, and all that time was gone. I was always playing catch-up, never confident enough to think on my feet - so I bought more resources, then more, then more, and never had a second to learn how to use any of them.
The cycle just got tighter.
Until one day that all changed. The day a supervisor reminded me I was far more capable than I gave myself credit for, and that the answer was never MORE. It was learning to reuse what I'd built, trust what I already knew, and lean into what made me ME instead of chasing the textbook version of a "proper" psychologist {which I am now here to pass onto YOU!}

And since discovering this?
-
I stopped reinventing the wheel every week and started reusing and adapting what already worked
-
I became confident enough to think on my feet with whatever walked through my door
-
And clinicians started coming to ME, asking for my resources, my advice, the way I did things

And the best part? I went from burnt out at month three to building a practice {and a whole community} that finally supports the people doing the supporting… and I believe it can happen for you too!

Here's what makes the Forum different from every PD and every supervisor you've tried: most of them quietly keep you dependent: here's another framework, another download, another session to book. The Forum does the opposite. It's built to make you the kind of grounded, confident clinician who can trust herself in any room, because that's the only thing that actually ends the scramble. And that's not something you'll find in a textbook, a weekend PD, or a quick search. It came from really living it.

You need a space that meets you exactly where you’re at: somewhere that gives you real-time support, practical tools, and relevant learning without the overwhelm.
That’s exactly what The Clinicians’ Members Forum was built for.

It’s not about ticking boxes, it’s about:
-
Monthly supervision that actually answers your questions and builds your confidence
-
Bite-sized PDs that make you a stronger, sharper, more skilled practitioner
-
Client-ready, affirming resources you can use right now, without spending hours creating them

When you have access to the right kind of support, growth doesn’t just feel possible, it starts to feel inevitable.

So, what makes the Forum so effective?

It’s built on my Grounded Growth Framework: the three-stage process that underpins everything at The Playful Psychologist:
Grounding → Reflection → Growth.

Here are the three stages that make the Clinicians' Forum the support you actually needed all along - my Grounded Growth Framework:

GROUNDING: First, you stop scrambling. One place to go for supervision, PD, and ready-to-use resources, so you walk into your week feeling clear and capable instead of three steps behind. The chaos quiets down because you finally have something solid under your feet.

REFLECTION: Then you deepen. Through supervision that answers your actual questions {not checkbox advice} and a community of clinicians who get it, you start to understand your own clinical instincts, and trust them. This is where confidence stops being something you're waiting for and becomes something you have.
GROWTH: Then it becomes sustainable. You build systems that let you reuse what works instead of starting from scratch every week, and you grow into the clinician you actually want to be - more YOU, not more textbook. Growth stops feeling like another thing on the to-do list and starts feeling inevitable.

And I have taken ALL this philosophy and experience and poured it into the Clinicians' Forum, so you can grow with confidence and ease - all without the burnout, the second-guessing, or the sky-high costs.

This is your go-to space for ongoing clinical support, ready-to-use tools, and meaningful peer connection, designed specifically for early-career psychologists and affirming practitioners who want clarity, confidence, and calm in their work.

Inside, you'll gain access to:
✨ Practical, neuroaffirming resources to use with clients (and to save your time)
✨ Monthly clinical coaching sessions to troubleshoot, reflect, and grow
✨ Exclusive masterclasses on everything from report writing to emotional regulation
✨ A like-minded community of clinicians who get it...no hustle, no hierarchy

You’ll learn how to simplify your systems, deepen your clinical insight, and show up with confidence, whether you're navigating your first assessment report or setting boundaries in supervision.
BUT THE THING I'M MOST PROUD OF?
Watching other clinicians grow in confidence, clarity, and impact, and create their own version of a grounded, meaningful practice.

I literally tear up every time someone says “this finally makes sense now...”

Those messages I've received? That could be you.

Imagine this…

You open your laptop and know exactly where to go for supervision, PD, and the resources you need.
You feel prepared for client sessions instead of scrambling the night before.

You’re supported by a supervisor who actually gets your challenges, and peers who are walking the same path.

You’re no longer questioning your every clinical move or googling “how to run this session” at 11pm.

And the best part?
You didn’t have to spend thousands, or go through burn out, to get here.
Inside The Clinicians Members Forum, you’ll go from:
Winging it → Feeling anchored and clinically clear

Overwhelmed and isolated → Supported, connected, and confident

Drowning in expensive PD options → Having relevant support at your fingertips, every single month
This isn’t just professional development.
It’s professional relief.
And it’s exactly what you’ve been needing, even if you didn’t know how to ask for it.

FAQ

Who is this membership for?
It’s designed for early-career psychologists, provisionals, registrars, those coming back from extended leave, and any practitioner who feels overwhelmed by the constant pressure to up skill, stay current, and feel confident, without support that actually meets them where they are.
Is this helpful if I’m already registered?
YES! It is valuable at every stage of your early career. The supervision, PD, and resources are designed to meet you where you're at, so no matter where you are in your journey, you'll find something useful.
Do I have to attend the supervision live?
Nope! Every supervision session is recorded and uploaded so you can watch at a time that suits you. Live attendance is encouraged if you can swing it, but you’ll never miss out. You can tailor a support system to cater to your needs.
What if I’m not in a “typical” psych role?
The Forum supports psychologists in private practice, schools, NDIS, community, research, and in-between seasons. If you’re transitioning, exploring options, or not sure what’s next, you’ll be completely supported.
What if I haven’t started my NPE yet?
Totally fine! The NPE folder is just one part of the support on offer. You can explore it at your own pace, or ignore it completely if it doesn’t apply right now. There are so many other features & benefits that can support you pre NPE & post registration.
Am I locked into a contract?
No way! There are no contracts, no lock-ins, and no awkward hoops to jump through. Just log in, click cancel, and your membership will end at the end of your billing period.
